About Us
St Vincents & Mercy Private is a not-for-profit, private Catholic hospital. We provide you with the highest quality healthcare, modern facilities and the latest technology.
With 500 registered beds and more than 1,600 staff across three campuses in Fitzroy, East Melbourne and Kew, we are one of Melbourne’s busiest and biggest acute care hospitals.
Our major specialities include orthopaedics, cardiac services, maternity, reconstructive plastic surgery and neurosciences. We also specialise in ear, nose and throat, oncology and haematology, brain and spinal, gynaecology, oral and maxillofacial and gastrointestinal.
In June 2008, we acquired Vimy Private in Kew to allow us to continue to care for more Victorians and expand some of our core specialities, particularly orthopaedics.
St Vincents & Mercy Private is jointly owned by the Sisters of Charity and the Sisters of Mercy. We have proudly cared for the Victorian community for more than 70 years.
