There are three steps to gain approval for research:
- Complete the SVMPH Research Application Form.
This application will be considered by the Research comittee which meets nine times annually. Our acceptance of the proposal at this stage is indicitive only.
- Submit the proposal to St Vincent’s Hospital (Melbourne) (STV) Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC).
- Submit all documentation, including approval from SVHM HREC, to St Vincents & Mercy Private for approval. These should be directed to:

Fees are charged for commercially sponsored trials. Service charges are applies to all trials. For details of charges, click here.
Principal Investigators are required to submit an annual report.
