Telephones, television and computers

Telephones

Telephones are on each bedside cabinet. Local calls are free and can be made from your room by simply dialling "0" for an outside line.

You can make international, interstate and calls to mobile phones by using a 'PhoneAway' card, which can be bought from reception.

Please note that mobile phones are not permitted for use in the hospital as they can interfere with monitors and other medical equipment.

Patients and visitors are asked to turn off their mobile phones when entering the hospital in accordance with recommendations from the Therapeutic Goods Administration (Device Branch).

Public telephone : Public pay telephones are available on the ground floor in the general reception area.

Taxi phone : A direct line to a taxi service is available in reception. Staff will help organise a taxi for you.

Television

Each room has a television operated by the handset by your bedside. There is no cost for this service.

Computers

Laptop computers and other electrical devices may interfere with some of our medical equipment. Please check with our staff before using them.
