Employees are widely encouraged to explore career progression. Our Education & Development Team provides a vast range of courses so staff can continuously gain new skills and qualifications. The opportunities are endless and we provide post graduate nursing courses as well as a Front Line Management Program (Cert IV Business) for our future leaders. Scholarships and study leave may also be available.

Salary Packaging
Salary packaging is available through Remunerator to all full time/part time employees and casual nursing staff. The benefit of salary packaging is that you can nominate to have certain expenses paid by your employer from your pre-tax income which increases your take home pay.

Gymnasium
Employees have subsidised access to St Vincent’s Lifestyle Centre, a health and fitness centre which is located within a short walk of St Vincents Private.

Immunisation
Free influenza immunisation is available to all staff each year.

Banking and Finance
The St Vincent’s Commonwealth Bank branch offers special packages to all staff and Police Credit Union offers fee-free banking.

Child Care

Hospital and Pharmacy
Should an employee require hospitalisation and choose to be hospitalised at St Vincents & Mercy Private, the hospital will subsidise out of pocket expenses up to $500 per annum *conditions apply. Employees are entitled to 10% discount on purchases made at the hospital pharmacy.

Car Park
Subsidised car parking is available when you present your employee identification card. Work related car parking can also be salary packaged. Parking at Vimy Private is free of charge.

Staff Health Centre
All staff have access to the St Vincent’s Health Medical Centre and bulk billing is available.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
EAP is a confidential counseling and advisory service provided to both employees and their immediate family to assist with professional and personal difficulties that may be affecting general wellbeing and work performance.
