What is day surgery?
Minor operative procedures are performed under general or local anaesthetic in day procedure units at both campuses. The procedures are short and the patient is not required to stay overnight.
Our units
Day surgery is performed in a modern environment with professional staff responsible for your care and wellbeing. The units are open from 7:00am Monday to Friday.
Discharge
After your surgery you will be taken to the recovery room where you will gradually wake up and may feel disorientated. It is important that a friend or family member accompanies you home and that they remain with you for at least 24 hours following your procedure.
