Your feedback is important. We appreciate your open and frank comments and use these to review and improve our services.
Our survey What is Your Opinion of our Service?, is available from the nurses’ station on your ward. Envelopes are provided for confidentiality. Completed surveys can be left at the nurses' station or at reception.
Urgent issues should be brought to the attention of the ward Nurse Unit Manager immediately. If he or she is unavailable, there will be a designated nurse in charge who will be able to help.
Patient Liaison Manager
If you have an important issue you want to discuss with someone other than staff in your ward, you can speak to the Patient Liaison Manager.
Our Patient Liaison Manager's role is to protect the rights and interests of our patients, staff and visitors. This involves resolving complaints and applying what is learned to improve the hospital's service.
The Patient Liaison Manager is available during business hours on (03) 9411 7111. Alternatively, you can post your comments to:

Consumer Participation Group
In line with industry best practice, we established a Consumer Participation Group in September, 2004. The group currently consists of seven consumer members who have volunteered their time to participate in the evaluation, planning and continuous improvement of services at our hospital.
The aim of the group is to be involved in four “on site” quality improvement activities per year. In addition other “at home” activities will be completed by mail. Examples of activities include:
- review of privacy and comfort issues in the day procedure unit redevelopment planning,
- input into review of the hospital website,
- review of draft revision of patient pre-admission documentation booklet.
If you are interested in being involved in the Consumer Participation Group, please contact the
